Thelma R. Everett, age 85, of Gulfport, passed away on Friday, January 8, 2021
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilma L. Everett; mother, Maggie Doby; father, Ned Irving; and 3 brothers, Odell Irving, Garfield, and Evett Irving.
Thelma is survived by her children, Mary Ann Everett of Gulfport, Jean (Cornell) Dean of Gulfport, Brenda Scott of Stonewall, MS, David (Natalie) Everett of Gulfport, and Thomas J. Everett, Sr., of Gulfport; two sisters, her twin, Velma Ray Thomas and Mary Hall of Evanston, IL, two brothers, Billy Irving of Cleveland, OH, and Edward Irving of Evanston, IL; grandchildren, Jarbree Everett (Tiffany) of Gulfport, Monica Scott of Stonewall, Jason Everett of Gulfport, Thomas James Allen Everett of Chicago, Kenisha May (Alvin) of Atlanta, Electra Monique Darden of Atlanta, Deron Spencer Everett of Gulfport, Ashely Nelson of Las Vegas, Tyler Everett (Vanessa), Vanity Shannara Watkins, Thomas James Everett, and Chad Everett all of Gulfport. She also had a host of great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Thelma was born in Stonewall, MS and a resident of Gulfport; she was employed with the Harrison County School District for 17 years. She was a member of Jehovah Witness on Three Rivers Road in Gulfport. Thelma loved working in the garden, cooking rolls, being with friends, and talking about Jehovah.
Love you Auntie Thelma, there will always be a place for you in my heart. Tell momma and the rest, I love and miss you all very much, Jimmy Lee.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 14, 2021, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Gulfport, with a visitation from 1:00 PM until the service. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Gulfport.
