Mrs. Thelma """"Bell"""" Dedeaux, age 84, resident of Gulfport, passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2009, in Gulfport.
Mrs. Dedeaux was born in Bourg, LA to the late Lee and Aglia Thibodeaux Ellender. She moved to Gulfport over 60 years ago, where she resided in the same home. She was a parishioner at St. John Catholic Church in Gulfport. She provided childcare for many families over a 20 year period. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Dedeaux was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert J. Dedeaux; parents; son, Herbert J. Dedeaux, Jr.; and 7 siblings.
She is survived by her children, Barbara Martin of Pearl River, LA and her husband Sam, Darnell Beck of Gulfport, and Nita Dotilla of Woolmarket and her husband Lynn Page; siblings, Joe Ellender and Eldred Ellender; grandchildren, Michelle Walker, Melissa McQueen, Charity Robinson, Brittany Lampkin, Maranda Crosby, Dustin Dotilla, Krystal Page, Brandon Dedeaux, Jamie Winters, Misty Dillon, and Stephanie Blackwell; 25 great grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, November 14, 2009, at St. John Catholic Church, Gulfport, at 2 p.m. Friends may visit at the church one hour prior to services. Burial will follow at Gulf Pines Memorial Gardens in Long Beach.
