Thalus Mark Ladner, born on August 10, 1977, of Perkinston, MS, passed away on April 3, 2025.
Thalus graduated from Hancock High School as part of the class of 1996, where he laid the foundation for a life marked by resilience, dedication, and compassion. Those who knew him could often find him engaging in one of his favorite pastimes, whether it was hunting or cooking, always cherishing the moments spent surrounded by his family.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 15 years, Michelle Ladner, with whom he shared 17 wonderful years. Together, they raised a loving family that includes their children: Kaitlyn, Lane, Treie, Breanna, Dailyn, Nalla, Kraigon, and Cayden Ladner.
Thalus is also survived by his brothers, Robert (Patricia) Shiyou and Al (Carol) Shiyou, along with his sister, Jenny Shiyou. He will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Jhett Saucier and Eleanor Saucier, and countless nieces, nephews, family, and friends who were fortunate enough to know him.
Thalus was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald and Elenora Ladner, and his brother, Rocky Lane Shiyou. His legacy of service, love, and dedication will continue to resonate within the hearts of all those who were touched by his life. As we remember Thalus, we celebrate a man who not only fulfilled his duties as a police officer and correctional office for MDOC but also embraced the values of family, friendship, and community.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, April 14, 2025 at Refuge Church, 5755 Rocky Hill, Dedeaux Road, Kiln, MS. Services will begin at 6:00 PM. Everyone is invited to have dinner with the family in the fellowship hall after the service.
