Terry Vandemark

Terry "Zip" Vandemark of Diamondhead, MS passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport, MS with his wife by his side.
Zip was born December 3, 1943 in Kewanee, IL to Lester and Ruth Vandemark. He graduated from Kewanee High School in 196, then was drafted into the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam. He retired from the City of Kewanee, IL Fire Department.
He was married to his wife, Marilyn Sobotta, on May 1, 1981 and they celebrated 40 wonderful years together this year.
Zip was a member of the American Legion and Life Member of the VFW. He enjoyed fishing, the casinos, his afternoon cocktail, and LIFE. He never met a stranger.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father; sisters-in- law, Linda Vandemark and Charlotte Vandemark.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Marilyn; his brother, Gerald "Tuffy" (and his special friend Carolyn Erler); his brothers, Bill and Richard; and his nieces and nephews.
A graveside service at Biloxi National Cemetery will be scheduled for a later date.
