Terry E. Joffrion

Terry Ellis Joffrion passed away on January 19, 2025 in Gulfport, MS. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ellis Arthur Joffrion, and Mildred Sullivan Joffrion; and his stepsons, Stephen Blair Simpson and Richard Edward Harrison.

Terry is survived by the love of his life and soul mate, Beth Newman Joffrion; his daughters, Rene Britt (David) and Maria Preston (Eddie); his stepdaughter, Rebecca Harrison Moody; his brother Larry Joffrion; his Nephew, Brent Joffrion; his grandchildren, Griffin Britt, Hayden Britt, Eddie Preston, Jr., Tyler Preston, Brady Preston, Ryan Moody, Sean Moody, and Rhiannon Moody; and several great grandchildren. Terry is also survived by his best friend of 50 + years, Paul Bird.

Terry was in the insurance business for nearly 60 years, approximately 40 years with United Insurance Co., and another 20 years as a self-employed, independent insurance agent. He retired in March 2020 at the age of 79 ½ .

He graduated in the 1958 class of Gulfport High, attended Perkinston Jr. College and the University of Southern Mississippi. Terry was a proud convert to the Catholic faith and was a member of St. James Catholic Church.

A private graveside service will be held at St. James Cemetery in Gulfport.
