Teresita Pasaki Nielson

Our community sadly lost an amazing lady, Teresita “Terry” Nielson, on February 1, 2023.  Everyone called her Terry.  She was born on September 10, 1940 in Benguet, Philippines where she grew up.

Terry was preceded by her parents, Ayadi Pasaki and Saped Agyapas along with her siblings, Rosa A. Gregorio, Agustin Ayadi, Rosita A. Lee-Hong, Enmong Ayadi and Dinnah A. Carantes.

She met her late husband, Niel J. Nielson, in the Philippines and married in 1972 before moving to the United States a few years later.  They settled in Bay Saint Louis, MS, where they raised their daughter, Melinda K. Theuret.  Her husband passed away on January 24, 1998.  She later moved to Long Beach, MS, after Hurricane Katrina destroyed her home in Bay St. Louis.

Terry was given the gift of making amazing Filipino food that she loved sharing with everyone. She really loved spending time with her family and friends, where she was able to share a good laugh, smile and enjoy good conversation.  She would also spend countless hours watching western movies and crocheting. She was truly independent and did not let her age stop her from being active and getting things done.

Terry was rushed to Memorial Hospital in Gulfport on the 31st of January due to a massive stroke. She was unable to come back but fought until the end and was reunited with our creator the next day.

She is survived by her daughter, Melinda K. (Brian) Theuret; grandsons, Kyle Theuret and John (Gerlly) Fish; cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; grandchildren, great-great nieces and nephews; great-great-great nieces and nephews and so on.

Terry was a kind and loving soul who would always help everyone that she came across.  If you ever walked into her home, she was going to cook and make sure you had something to eat.  She always had a smile on her face no matter where she was, which everyone noticed.  She will surely be missed and is forever loved by her family and friends.  Her memories will forever live on within us. WE WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER.
