Tay Alcee Guilmino was born in New Orleans and passed away on September 23, 2018 at the age of 86. He graduated from Jefferson High School in Jefferson, Louisiana and subsequently spent four years in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.  He enjoyed a 31-year career with Allstate Insurance company.  He was a 60-year member and past master of the Free & Accepted Masons, Square and Compass Lodge #417 in Kenner, Louisiana.  In 1980, he met and married his beloved wife, Carol Van Benthuysen Guilmino, and they retired and moved to Diamondhead, Mississippi in 1990.  They enjoyed a wonderful life together, traveling, playing golf, and spending time with their golfing buddies, friends and family.
Tay will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 38 years, Carol; his brother, Raymond Guilmino, and sisters Joyce Guilmino Medders and Janice Guilmino Klackle; his four children and their spouses, Laura Guilmino MoateBode(Eddie), Tay Chas Guilmino(Karen), Cheryl Guilmino Cruse(Ronnie); his four stepchildren and their spouses, Mark Van Benthuysen(Jeanne), Melinda Van Benthuysen Nolan, Martin Van Benthuysen(Melissa); his sixteen grandchildren;twenty great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Lillian Harrell Guilmino and Alcee Guilmino; his former wife and the mother of his children, Patricia Sicard Guilmino; his son Alcee Matthew Guilmino; and stepson Michael Van Benthuysen.
Memorial donations may be made to the:  American Cancer Society, 417 Security Square, Gulfport, MS 39507.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, October 1, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Diamondhead Community Church, Diamondhead, MS with a visitation for family and friends from 10:00 AM until the service. A Scattering Ceremony will follow at the church's Scattering Garden.
