Thomas M. Tatum, Jr., age 69, died at his Pass Christian, MS, residence June 6, 2006. A native of Washington, DC, and formerly of Dallas, he had resided for the past 11 years in Pass Christian.
Mr. Tatum was a graduate of Princeton University and served as a Lt. in the United States Navy. He was a CFA and for many years was the president of Proteus Partners in Dallas. He also served as president of the CFA Society, and was a member of the Coast Chorale, as well as a past president of its board.
A lifelong Episcopalian, Mr. Tatum was a member of Trinity Church, Pass Christian, and was past senior warden of this church and his former parish in Dallas, Church of the Holy Communion.
Mr. Tatum is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Marie Calhoun Tatum and a sister, Marilyn Hutchens. He is survived by his wife Ainslie; his three sons Thomas M. Tatum, III and wife, Nancy, Edward E. Tatum and William Stuart Tatum; three grandchildren; and two brothers, John C. Tatum and wife, Betty and James R. Tatum and wife, Dana.
Funeral services for Mr. Tatum will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 10 with burial to follow in Live Oak Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the church foyer from 10:00-11:00 a.m.
