Tammy Haas

Tammy Lynn Haas, age 57, left us to be with Jesus on August 26,2021, after a hard-fought battle with leukemia.  She was raised in Kiln, MS and resided in Sumrall, MS.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Don Haas and Rita Travirca Haas; and her sister, Deborah Lee.

Tammy left behind to cherish her memory, her family and friends who loved her deeply and will miss her greatly.  This includes her brother, Donnie Haas;  a "sister" in law, Tammy Haas; her brother in law, Rodrick Lee; her nephews, Aaron (Heather) Lee and  Ryan (fiance’, Kate) Lee; her niece, Dana Haas (Michael) Albrecht; her great niece, Madison Lee; her great nephews, Cooper and Corbin Albrecht; her aunt and godmother, Betty Garcia; her second family and best friend, Brenda Bozeman and her husband Kenny; their son, Chris and his twin daughters, Cadence and Caroline; and many close friends.

She graduated from Hancock High School and continued her education at the University of Southern Mississippi where she graduated with a degree in drafting.  After graduating, she moved to Sumrall and accepted a job as an Engineering Assistant with Cooperative Energy, where she has been a valued employee there for 34 years and was loved and respected by her co-workers.

She was a beloved member and secretary of Community Baptist Church, where her creative ideas and leadership blessed many.  She also gave devotionals in the ladies’ classes and was a big part of the youth activities there.

Her favorite past-time was spending time with family and friends.  She was an awesome cook and loved the beach.

Tammy was a true blessing to her family and friends.  She was a loving daughter, an awesome sister, a terrific aunt and great-aunt and a loyal confidant and friend.  She was loved by everyone who was blessed enough to know her.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to her church, Community Baptist Church in Sumrall, MS. 37 Oloh Road, Sumrall, MS 39482.

The first funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 9113 Kiln Delisle Road, Pass Christian, with a visitation from 9:00 AM until the service.  The second funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at Community Baptist Church, Sumrall, with a visitation from 1:00 PM until the service.  Interment will follow at Community Baptist Church Cemetery.
