Sylvia Rediger

Our family received the word that we lost our sister, Sylvia, on August 2, 2023, at her residence in Gulfport, MS. Sylvia was born April 24, 1944. She was the daughter of Steve and Doris Majors. She grew up in Petersburg, Michigan and graduating from Summerfield High School in 1962.

Some of her best memories and friends came from summers spent working at Kolakowski farms in Ida. After graduation Sylvia attended Stautzenberger College in Toledo for a degree in business. She was hired by Owens Illinois as a sales representative to sell containers throughout the Midwest. At retirement, Sylvia moved to Florida then settled in Gulfport, MS. She enjoyed boating, fishing, antiquing, and going to the casinos.

Sylvia is survived by brothers, David (Marie), James, and Joseph (Cheryl) Majors; sister, Doris Sheldon and Patricia (Leroy) Majors; sisters-in-law, Maureen Majors and Nancy Majors; and brother-in-law Fred Sheldon.
