Suzanne "Suzy" Floyd

Suzanne "Suzy" Floyd, age 74 of Biloxi, passed away Saturday, January 15, 2022, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS.

Suzy was preceded in death by her parents, Robert J. And Jean Whitlock.

She is survived by her husband, Lavelle Floyd; her brother, Bob Whitlock; sisters, Nancy Hubbs (Fred) and Beth Peterson (Lee); a brother, Jud Whitlock (Gayle); and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Suzy was a wonderful friend, a loving wife and devoted servant of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Diminutive in height, but a giant in faith, she witnessed to the grace of

God in all circumstance whether through joy, sickness and even in pain.

She will be missed by countless individuals who have had the privilege of knowing her.

She was a compassionate, loving person who always had a kind word of encouragement. Some of her greatest joys came from helping and serving others; whether helping Veterans causes, cheering up children in need or taking an active role in her church, Suzy never tired of blessing others.

Countless adults and children have been blessed with gifts of teddy bears, hats and caps, crosses, home cooked meals and even scholarships as she and her husband, Lavelle tirelessly sought out those that needed a special touch.

Suzy had a great love for all aspects of the Arts and was very gifted in theatrical arts.

She loved adventure and travel along with her loving husband.  She had a passion for wildlife especially bison.

Friends are invited to join the Floyd family for Visitation and Services on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, MS 39503. Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. with the Celebration of Life Service to follow at 11:00 a.m.
