A special person, Susan Angel Gryder Harnden known to all as Sue, was invited to God's home on June 8, 2006. Sue lived a very unique life that was hard at first but became easy and stress free. She was born in Brookhaven, MS on July 29, 1932, and raised in Biloxi. Although she always called Biloxi home, Sue lived at Crawford Nursing Home in Jackson and Chateau DeVille Nursing Home in Moss Point for most of her precious years. As a resident of Crawford Nursing Home, a Girl Scout troop that loved her dearly adopted Sue to be their Grandmother. Upon moving to Chateau DeVille, Sue was asked to enter the """"Ms. Chateau DeVille"""" contest and placed second. Her love for BINGO was evident in her every day life.
Sue knew the little things are what count in life long before Hurricane Katrina. Her most special day ever was her birthday, July 29, 1991, when she became known as Granny Sue to a precious child name Taylor. Sue will be sadly missed by her family and friends but is in a much happier place.
A graveside ceremony for Sue will be held on Monday, June 12, 2006, at Greenlawn Cemetery in Hammond, Louisiana at 11:00 a.m. She will be laid to rest next to her mother, father, and grandparents.
Gulf Coast Funeral Homes, Inc., Three Rivers Road Chapel, Gulfport, is in charge of arrangements, and an online guestbook may be signed at www.gulfcoastfh.
