Susan Marie Dye (Culp)

Susan Marie Dye (Culp), age 62, of Mobile, AL, died at her residence on Monday, August 14, 2023. Honoring Susan's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial and celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Bayou Phillips Community Center in Bay St. Louis.

Susan was born May 31, 1961, to Darleen (Pannett) Culp in Flint. She was the twin of her brother Stephen. Susan attended Clio Community Schools where she received her high school diploma with the class of 1979. Shortly after graduation, Susan moved to Mississippi and remained in the southern states to raise her three children. She looked forward to activities on the water; boating, fishing, and crabbing with family and friends. Susan loved spending time with all of her grandkids. She was employed at Piggly Wiggly in Moss Point, Mississippi, and spoke highly of her colleagues. She enjoyed going to work every day and always tried to make a difference.

Susan is preceded in death by her son, Joshua Lee McKinley; sisters, Debra (Culp) Huntley and Laurie Jean Culp; grandparents, Aubrey and Lillian Culp and Blaine and Hilda Pannett.

Susan is survived by her children, Christopher and Jammie Culp of North Carolina, Sarah McKinley of Mississippi; grandchildren, Christina Culp, Desirae Necaise, Page Garner, Timothy Myers, Landon McKinley, Lillian McKinley, Cayden Cook, Candice Spikes, Summer McKinley, Winter McKinley, and Dylan McKinley; parents, John and Darleen Culp of Clio; siblings, John Culp II (Kim) also of Clio, Stephen (Lisa) Culp of Durand, Katie (Mike) Torok of Alpena, Pati (Ken) Smith of Mt. Morris and many special nieces, nephews, extended family and wonderful friends.
