Susan Jones

Susan Diane Benefield-Jones, age 71 from Gulfport, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, November 21, 2022.

She was preceded in death by her son, Boliver Ray Jones III; granddaughter, Tristan Renee’ Jones; parents, William Edward and Frances Louise Benefield; brothers, John David Benefield and Richard Leonard Jones; and nephew, Richard Leonard Jones II.

Susan is survived by her husband of 54 years, Boliver Ray Jones II; daughter, Beth Jones Rhodes; siblings, William Edward Benefield (Victoria) and Mary Frances Yanes (Gene); sister-in-law, Faith Raterta Jones; grandchildren, Savannah, Malerie, Barrett, Emma, Sarah Grace and Cecilia; niece, Cassie Jones Chapman (Brad); and great nephews Theodore and Sebastian Chapman.

She was a longtime resident of Gulfport, MS. Susan graduated from Gulfport High School and worked with the Gulfport School District. She was an active member of First Baptist Church, Gulfport, and Women’s Bible Study at Grace Memorial Baptist Church.

Visitation will be on Saturday, November 26, 2022, from 12 - 1 pm at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport.  The funeral service will be at 1 pm in the funeral home chapel.  Interment will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
