Stephen Paul Baudier, Jr, 91, of Gulfport, died December 11, 2005 in Gulfport.
Mr. Baudier was a native of New Orleans, LA and moved to the coast in 1937 after working at the New Orleans furniture factory. He served in the US Army during WWII. He owned S.P. Baudier Furniture Contractor for 68 years in the antique restoration business. He restored antique furniture after Camille at Tullis-Toledano Manor, Beauvoir , Grasslawn, Gulf Park College and Longfellow House in Pascagoula. He lived his life for his family and his work.
He was a member of St. John Catholic Church and will sadly be missed by family from Louisiana to Mississippi. He is preceded in death by his parents, Stephen P. Baudier, Sr. and Louise Larose Baudier, a son, Stephen Baudier, III (Buddy) and a sister, Louise Olschner. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Elenora Hemmerling Baudier of Gulfport; daughter, Jean Baudier Smith and husband James of Gulfport; son, Robert Baudier and wife Anita of Hammond, LA.; a special member of the family, Lonnie Moore of Waveland; grandchildren, Debra Price and Mike of Woolmarket, Stephen P. Baudier, IV and wife Monette of Biloxi, Melinda Smith of Gulfport and Randall Baudier of Hammond; and nine great grandchildren, Michael Price, Jr, Casey Price, Stephen Davis Baudier, Shanna Baudier, Jason Cory Smith, Daniel Smith, Max Smith and Kaleigh & Kelsie Smith. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 14, 2005 from 6-8:00 p.m. in Monica Hall at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Biloxi. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, December 15 at 2:00 p.m. in the church. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. The Family sends a heartfelt thanks to Trinity Hospice for their care. Gulf Coast Funeral Homes, Inc is in charge of arrangements.
