Stanley Szetela, 86, of D'Iberville, died Friday, February 1, 2008 in Ocean Springs.
Mr. Szetela was a native of Massachusetts and had been a long-time resident of Biloxi and Gulfport, and formerly of New Orleans. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps, serving in WWII as a Bombardier. He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Szymon and Klara Szetela.
He will be greatly missed by his loving family; his wife of 49 years, Hazel Szetela of D'Iberville; daughter, Alice Peterman of Lyman; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday, February 4, 2008 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11213 Highway 49 North in Gulfport. The Celebration of Life Service will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 5, 2008 in the funeral home chapel, followed by burial in Biloxi National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Fatima Catholic Church, 2090 Pass Road, Biloxi, MS 39531.
