Stanley Raymond Fulton passed away on July 28, 2010.
He was born on June 24, 1927, and was the youngest child of seven. He was a graduate of Union High School and Mississippi College where he lettered in football, basketball, and track. He served in the U. S. Marine Corps before entering college. He coached and taught school in Brooksville and Senatobia before working for United Gas, General Electric. He retired from the Mississippi Tax Commission.
Raymond was an active member of Long Beach First Baptist Church and the W. D. Ishee Sunday school class, where he enjoyed the fellowship of his fellow class members.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Edwin and Wilson Fulton, and sisters, Hazel Westlake, Mary Alice Mobley, and Dean Yarbrough.
Survivors include his wife of sixty-two years, Lanore Bufkin Fulton; and sons, Kris Stanley Fulton and wife, Debbie, Kim Fletcher Fulton and wife, Susan, and Keith Bufkin Fulton and wife, Diane.
His greatest pride was his grandchildren, Jessica Fulton, Joshua Fulton, Kristin Fulton Lee (Greg), Nicholas Fulton, and Colby Fulton. He was also blessed with two great-grandchildren, Anna Reese Lee and Jack Lee.
He is also survived by his brother, Carl H. Fulton and wife, Doyle, of Lena; sister-in-law, Merlene Fulton, of Union; nephews, John Yarbrough, of Meridian; and Hal Fulton, of Austin, Texas; nieces, Kathy Lewis, of Hattiesburg, Suzy Haynes, of Collinsville, and Cindy Yuill, of Spanish Fort, AL.
Visitation will be Saturday, July 31, 2010, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Road in Long Beach. Burial will be in Gulf Pines Memorial Gardens in Long Beach.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers contributions to His Church Rising Fund at Long Beach First Baptist Church.
