Stanley Gust Fitrakis, age 77, a native of Detroit, Michigan, and a resident of Biloxi, died Sunday, December 9, 2007, in Biloxi.
Mr. Fitrakis served 27 years in the military; in the U. S. Army and in the U. S. Air Force during Korea, and was affiliated with the casino industry for 20 years. He was a Lutheran. He enjoyed traveling
and was said to have O.M.D., """"Obsessive Moving Disorder"""". Mr. Fitrakis was loved and respected by all.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Annie Fitrakis. Survivors include his wife, Helen K. Fitrakis; children, John Russel Fitrakis, Christine B. Connelley, Diana M. Wambold, Kim L. Matos, and Lori A. Ziegler; siblings, Christine Farris, Loretta Bronson, Nick Fitrakis, Robert Fitrakis, and Gregory Fitrakis; grandchildren, Drew Connelley, Cary Sturm, Micheal Sturm, Ashley Connelley, Heather Matos, Krystal Sitthi Vong, Cassie Ziegler, Brandon Ziegler, and Mandy Ziegler.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, December 13, 2007, at the National Cemetery in Biloxi.
