Spencer """"Pete"""" Jones, 78, of Diamondhead died Wednesday, November 21, 2007 in Diamondhead.
Mr. Jones was a native of Holstein, MO and had been a resident of the coast since 1986. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict and he was a member of the American Legion Joe Graham Post #119, Gulfport. Mr. Jones was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Gulfport, and he volunteered with the International Seaman's Center and Gideons International. He retired from H.W.I. Hardware with over 20 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Laura Jones and his parents, Spencer C. and Ethel G. Jones.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Jones, Diamondhead, 2 children, Mike Stroud, Saucier, and Melissa D'Angelo, Gulfport; brothers and sisters, Dean Jones, Joe Jones, Gary Jones, Eulene Davenport, Shirley Englehart, Dorothy Farrow, and Patsy Langston.
Visitation will be Monday, November 26, 2007 from 10 - 11 am at McCombs Funeral Home, Jackson, MO. A graveside service will be at 11:30 am Monday at Russell Heights Cemetery, Jackson, MO.
