Sidney Cronier

Sidney David Cronier, 62, of Hurley, died Saturday, April 26, 2008 in Hurley, after he had suffered for the past three years from throat cancer. Mr. Cronier was born October 18, 1945, the third child of S.D. Cronier and Gwendolyn Dickens Cronier and is survived by his daughter, Theresa Cronier; grandson, James Thayer, both of Hurley; his sister, Virginia Rood, Athens, Alabama; and his three brothers, Allen Cronier (Janice) of Forts Lake, MS, J.E. Cronier (Kathy) of Hurley, and Kenneth Cronier (Sue) of Hurley. He was preceded in death by his father, S.D. Cronier; his mother, Gwendolyn Cronier; and his oldest sister, Janie Seals.
Sidney was a Contracting Officer and retired from SupShips (Civil Service), Pascagoula. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Vietnam. He was a member of the American Legion.
Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi. The procession will then leave for the Graveside Service with military honors at 2:30 p.m. at the National Cemetery in Biloxi.
