The Lord Jesus himself spoke on the Gospel of John chapter 14 and said: ""...if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also."" On Christmas morning, December 25, 2014, Shirley Dykes Willard went to that place that Jesus had gone to prepare for her. We know it as Heaven. Her life was spent serving her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in anticipation of this day. All glory and Honor belongs to Christ for her accomplishments in this life.
Shirley graduated from Moss Point High School in 1962. She started her working years with Pascagoula-Moss Point Bank (later to become Hancock Bank). At first, she worked in the bookkeeping department and later became a teller. Her pleasant smile and greetings to customers was a testimony to her knowledge of Jesus. Shirley became the choice as a manager for the Escatawpa branch when it opened in 1976.
She started into the Realty business in 1980. She set records for sales and was member of the Million Dollar Club. She founded and managed Home Port Realty in Ocean Springs and after she sold Home Port Realty, she worked for Coldwell Banker Alfonso Realty in Ocean Springs and again was one of the top sales persons. Shirley served a past President of the Biloxi/Ocean Springs Board of Realtors and was honored with being selected as Realtor of the Year.
