Shirley Ann Vance, age 81, of Saucier passed away February 2, 2012 in Gulfport.
Shirley lived on the MS Gulf Coast since 1971. She pioneered and was the owner/operator of Add-A-Girl Temp Service. She was the former owner of Vance's Restaurant in Gulfport, and was manager of Mid-Continent at the Port in Gulfport. Shirley had an extensive management background in the Food Industry and working with National CPA Firms. She was a former member of the Chamber of Commerce.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Vance; and her parents, Bernice Carvel and Ruth Sacra Strange.
Survivors include her son, Jerry R. Vance and his wife, Susan; her daughter, Paula R. Jessup and her husband, Dale; grandchildren, Stephanie Vance Sims (Nick), Jerry R. Vance, Jr. (Cassie), and Christopher D. Jessup (Jennifer); great grandchildren, Nicholas Vance Sims, Jackson Vance, and Gerald Vance; and two great grandchildren on the way.
Visitation for family and friends will be held Monday, February 6, 2012, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11213 Highway 49, Gulfport. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2012, at 10:00 am in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Saucier.
