Shirley Jean Russell, age 83 and a resident of Gulfport, died on Tuesday, August 9, 2011, in Diamondhead.
Mrs. Russell was born on January 18, 1928, to the late Ray & Pearlie Mae Jackson of Gastonia, NC.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Russell; her daughter, Lendy Cook and her great granddaughters, Kenzley & Kristi Rae Gillis and Janell Russell.
Mrs. Russell is survived by her daughter, Barbara (J.R.) Gillis of Gulfport; her sons, Jimmy Russell of Gulfport, John Russell of Kearny, AZ, Steve Russell of Seattle, WA, and Donnie Russell of Boise, ID; 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 14, 2011, at 10:30am at Oasis House of Prayer, 555 Cowan Road, Gulfport, MS 39507.
Riemann Family Funeral Home, 9113 Kiln Delisle Road in Pass Christian assisted the family with arrangements.
