Shirley Reyer

Shirley Jones Reyer, our beloved Mother and Grandmother, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 14, 2009, in Gulfport. She was 71.
Shirley was born in Carnes, MS. She retired from the Harrison County Tax Assessor's Office. It was there that she cultivated life-long friends that she dearly loved and cherished. Her great sense of humor and wit will be misses by so many. She was such a prayer warrior for so many friends and families in the community and dearly loved her church family at FBC of Lyman. The highlight of her day was spending time with her granddaughter, Brandi Harbour.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Iva C. and Ruby Moody Jones; her only sister, Rosemary Gomez; her BELOVED husband, Ross A. Reyer, Sr.; and her sons, Ross A. Reyer, Jr., Jerry W. Reyer, and Terry Lynn Reyer.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Jeff Harbour, her son and daughter-in-law, Russell and Margaret Reyer, grandchildren Brandi Harbour, Cristina Reach, William Rowan, and Phillip Rowan.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Memorial Hospital Hospice for their compassionate and loving help.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 17, 2009, at 11:00 am at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
