Shirley Ann Cuevas Ladner, age 73, and a lifelong resident of Gulfport, passed away Thursday, October 29, 2009 in Gulfport.
Mrs. Ladner was born in Gulfport on February 12, 1936 to the late Alice Mae Woodard Cuevas and the late Anderson Joseph Cuevas. She worked for Maybelle Manufacturing Company and was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kermit J. Ladner; her parents; and five siblings, Sherman A. Cuevas, Bonnie Cuevas, Marie Hubbard, Ervin J. Cuevas and Richard Cuevas.
Survivors include her beloved pet and companion, """"Troubles;"""" four children, Belinda J. Rose (Jim) of Long Beach, Darlene Northrop (Pete Guidry) of Biloxi, Peggy J. Berndt (Gary) of Biloxi, and Robin K. Ladner of Gulfport; 3 siblings, Betty J. Melton of Gulfport, Beulah Lee Bullock of Saucier and Clyde J. Cuevas (Darlene) of Slidell; 9 grandchildren, Kimberly Davis (Luke), Bryan Northrop (Romelle), Missy Williams (Jay), Kristen Northrop, Jamie Spiers, Mandy Spiers, Jennifer Tibbetts (Jason), and Justin and Ashton Ladner & their mother, Deborah; and 11 great-grandchildren, Macey, Austin, Alyssa, Breanna, Gracen, Erik, Aaron, Madison, Kaeden, Shelby and Aunika.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., Monday, November 2, 2009 at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport.
The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday in the funeral home chapel, followed by burial at Wolf River Cemetery. The online guestbook may be viewed at www.riemannfamily.com.
