Shirley January Kies

Mrs. Shirley January Kies, age 77, resident of Long Beach passed away Thursday, March 15, 2012, in Long Beach.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John A. and Edna January; son, Darrell Kies; and three brothers, Joseph, Johnny, and Tommy January.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Phil Kies of Long Beach; son, Darren Kies and wife Tracy of Alabaster, AL; grandchildren, Brady, Will, and Kendall Kies; sister, Mary DeLemos of Orlando, FL; brother, George January of Bay St. Louis; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Shirley was born in Bay St. Louis on November 21, 1934. She was a graduate of Bay High. Her hobbies were sewing, gardening, and crafts. She traveled all over the world with her husband while he was in the U.S. Coast Guard.
Friends are invited to a visitation with the family from 12:30 pm until 2:00 pm on Sunday, the 18th of March, 2012 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach, MS. The funeral service is to be conducted at 2:00 pm on Sunday, the 18th of March, 2012 at the funeral home, where Rev. Louis Lohan is to officiate. The interment is to immediately follow at Gulf Pines Memorial Gardens in Long Beach, MS.
