Shirley Faye Scott

Shirley Faye Scott, age 86, of Gulfport, went to be with her Heavenly Father and Savior on November 2, 2023.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Troy Scott; and her parents, Lloyd C. Goudeau and Katherine Schliegelmeyer Goudeau.

She is survived by her daughter, Jo Ellen Tappan (Scott); and a grandson, Shannon Paul Tappan; and other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Scott was a native and lifelong resident of Gulfport.  She and her husband owned and operated Scott Plumbing and Heating.  She was a former longtime member of Gulf Gardens Baptist Church and was a current member of Divine Grace Baptist Church where she dearly loved her church family. 

Visitation will be on Saturday, November 4, 2023, from 9 - 10 am at Divine Grace Baptist Church, 5570 Red Creek Road, Long Beach, MS 39560.  The funeral service will be at 10 am in the church.  Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Gulfport.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Divine Grace Baptist Church, 5570 Red Creek Rd, Long Beach, MS 39560.
