Shirley Ann Clay, age 82, passed away on December 27, 2021 in Biloxi.

She was a native of Louisville, KY, born to William and Ruby Cheatham. She served as the Kentucky State Director of the Senior Citizens Program and an Honorary Kentucky Colonel (a title given to her for her dedication of service). She has been a resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast for the last 20 years.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, William and Cloria Cheatham (Mom) Ruby Cheatham (Mother): sister, Carol Madden; and first husband, Frank Rice.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Clay of New Orleans; four children, Troy Lanham (Lisa) of Biloxi, Linda Cuellar (Andy) of San Antonio, TX, Lisa Kluetz (Michael) of Lodi, WI, Leslie Unger (Steven) of Biloxi; brother in-law, Danny Madden; two grandchildren, Ashley and Shannah; two great-grandchildren, Josh and Aylar; and numerous other relatives.

Shirley was a woman of God and a member of Edgewater Christian Fellowship Church in Biloxi.

In lieu of flower Ms. Shirley would appreciate a donation be made in her name to Edgewater Christian Fellowship Church.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM on January 8, 2022 at Edgewater Christian Fellowship Church, 2750 B Mission Lane, Biloxi, MS 39531.

Riemann Family Funeral Home, Beauvoir Rd. Biloxi served the family.
