Shirley Ann Rouse Brown, age 70, resident of Biloxi, died Sunday, December 31, 2006 in Biloxi.
Mrs. Brown was born in Saucier to the late Frank S. and Velma Hartfield Rouse. She was a 1954 graduate of Gulfport High School and was a class favorite and beauty. She also earned the title of Miss Gulfport that same year. She owned Shirley R. Brown Real Estate Company and was of the Methodist faith. She did many spiritual writings expressing her faith and love for God. She was a very loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Brown.
She is survived by her two sons, Eric Brown of Wiggins and Mark Brown of Kiln; a sister, Carolyn Fulton of Spanish Fort, AL; and four grandchildren, Jessica Brown of Las Vegas, NV, Jennifer Brown of Pass Christian, Darren Brown of Gulfport, and Amanda Brown of Pass Christian; and one great-grandchild, Savannah Brown of Las Vegas, NV.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at Poplarhead United Methodist Church at 1 p.m., where friends may visit one hour prior to services. Burial will follow in Poplarhead Cemetery.
