Shirley Ann Vuyovich Davis, of Biloxi, MS, born on January 23, 1937, passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at Canon Hospice, Gulfport, MS. She was 84.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandma and great granny. Born in Biloxi, she married and moved to New York to raise her family with her husband of 55 years, Clayton ‘CC’ Davis. They moved back to Biloxi in 1977, where they would raise their children and then settle in D’Iberville
She is preceded in death by her husband, ”Clayton” CC Davis; parents, Authur and Marie (Acevedo) Vuyovich, Sr.; and brothers and sisters, Authur Vuyovich Jr, Harold Vuyovich, Eddie Vuyovich Sr, Maybelle Ibele, Frank Vuyovich, Buddy Vuyovich, Marie Fayard, Gloria Pyron, Althea Flynt, Dorothy Balius and George Vuyovich.
She is survived by her children, Melinda Watford (Glenn) of Semmes, AL, Clay Davis (Jan) of Biloxi, Scott Davis of Biloxi, Laura Davis of D’Iberville, and Kathleen Bruce (Chris) of Biloxi; her brother, Jack Vuyovich (Louise) of Ocean Springs; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends.
Mrs. Davis will be laid to rest in a private ceremony, next to her husband, at Biloxi National Cemetery.
