Sherian Lizabeth Lester Kemp, age 61 of Saucier, passed away on Thursday, February 14, 2019.
She was preceded in death by her father, William E. "Bill" Lester; her mother, Dorothy Dale Sanchez Lester Russell; her sister, Sandy Sue Lester Stockman; and her grandparents, Earl J. and Constance Ingham Lester; Fernand William and Dorothy Marie Hereford Sanchez.
Sherian is survived by her son, Jason Heath Wigley; her grandchildren, Liara Michelle Kemp, Rylan Wigley, Dylan Wigley, and Tristan Wigley; her siblings, Terrance Michael Lester (Cathy), Kimberly Mize Cummings (Rick), Yvonne Marie "Mickey" Mize Moore (Norman); and her cherished nieces and nephews.
She worked for many years as an elementary school teacher, but left teaching after a long and enduring illness. She had a love for instilling in her students a life-long passion for learning. She was devoted to her only son, Heath, Liara, the granddaughter she raised as her own child, and her three grandchildren.
Sherian was a steadfast sibling to her only brother, Terry, and baby sister, Sandy, and a companion to her dogs, who never left her side. Sherian had a sweet spirit and beautiful and gracious smile that brought joy to the lives of all who knew her.
A visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM, Wednesday, February 20, 2019, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport.
The graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 20, 2019, at St. Louis Cemetery #3, 3421 Esplanade Ave., New Orleans, LA.
