Shawn Lee Rawls

Shawn Lee Rawls, of Vancleave, a dedicated construction worker, passed away suddenly on January 16, 2024, in Ocean Springs, MS. Age 30.  He was born on June 11, 1993, in Alabama. Shawn was a beloved son, brother, nephew, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Shawn had a passion for his career in construction. He exhibited immense skill and dedication in his work and was admired by his colleagues for his hard work and attention to detail. Through his profession, he left a lasting impact on the community he served.

Beyond his work life, Shawn had many talents and interests. He found solace and expression through playing music and songwriting. His melodic tunes were captivating and reflected his depth of emotions. Additionally, he possessed artistic flair as a talented tattoo artist. He had a unique ability to transform ideas into beautiful works of art that became cherished memories for those who sought his craft.

During his memorial service to celebrate Shawn's life, which will be held on February 3, 2024, at 3731 Main Street in Moss Point, MS (39563), we will honor the vibrant spirit that touched so many lives. The service will begin at 1:00 PM.

Shawn's passing leaves a void in the lives of those who loved him dearly. He is survived by his father Bobby D. Rawls Sr. of Vancleave, brothers Bobby D. Rawls Jr. of Jackson County, and Michael J. Shay of Ocean Springs.  His uncle Wesley Rawls of Wiggins, and his aunts Sandra Morris Ferguson of Lumberton and Denise Waters of Lucedale, as well as several cousins and friends. 

He is preceded in death by his mother Brenda Shay. 

In this time of grief and reflection, we remember Shawn as an individual brimming with talent and potential who impacted the lives he encountered. Remember his vibrant presence and strive to live our lives to the fullest.
