Sharon Rogers

Sharon Denise Rogers, age 57, peacefully passed away on the evening of November 29, 2015, in New York City.
She was born on August 3, 1958, in Gulfport, MS, where she graduated from Gulfport High School and most recently worked for the Gulfport School District. She later resided in Winter Garden, FL, and in Astoria, NY. She was devoted to her family, enjoyed the comforts of her home, loved reading, growing plants and flowers, making jewelry, cross-stitching, cooking and baking, celebrating the holidays, and having fun with her family around New York. She especially loved spending time with her little granddaughter. Sharon was sweet, funny, wise, and kind. She enriched the lives of everyone who knew her, and was a paragon of courage and of strength.
Mrs. Rogers was preceded in death by her brother, Timothy Ladner; and her sister, Melissa Ladner.
She is survived by her husband of 32 years, David Rogers; daughters, Shea Rogers and Rachel Appleby; son-in-law, Evan Appleby; granddaughter, Lucy Appleby; parents, Elnora and Kerman F. Ladner; sister, Traci Ladner; brothers, Brian, Mike (Missy), and Pat (Renee) Ladner; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 5th at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport. Visitation will begin at 12:30 PM. Interment at Evergreen Cemetery in Gulfport will follow.
