Sharon O'Neal Boyd, age 35, of Long Beach, Mississippi passed away Monday, December 3, 2007 in Gulfport after a courageous battle with cancer.
Sharon was born December 29, 1971 in Gulfport, Mississippi.
Sharon was employed with the Gulfport Police Dept. for 14 years at the time of her death.
Sharon loved the outdoors and was an avid team mom for the Long Beach Babe Ruth 15 year old youth baseball team, Even following them to Arkansas.
She was preced in death by her father Bill O'Neal of long Beach, her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce J. Huguet and Mr. and Mrs. Louis O'Neal all of Gulfport.
Survivors include her loving husband, David Boyd of Long Beach, her mother Terry O'Neal of Long Beach, her daughter Raven O'Neal of Long Beach; three step children Brandon, Brittany, and Brian Boyd of Long Beach and mother-in-law Bonnie Boyd of Long Beach; two sisters Lynn (Jason) Alexander and Cristy (John) Gustin of Long Beach; nieces, Shelby Alexander and JoLeigh Gustin, nephews, Tyler Alexander and Gavin O'Neal, and two grandchildren, Brooke and Hunter Boyd, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many close friends.
Visitation will be held Thursday, December 6, 2007 at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Rd. Chapel, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 7, 2007 at Gulf Coast Worship Center at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow in the Long Beach City Cemetery.
