Shannon Wright

Shannon Jordan Wright, age 77 and a resident of Biloxi, died on Friday, January 16, 2015, in Gulfport. He was born on April 2, 1937, in McKenzie, AL to Charles W. and Lois Wright, both of whom preceded him in death.
Mr. Wright was a longtime resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. He was owner/operator of the former Wright Grocery Store in Gulfport and he was currently owner/operator of Wright's Trucking Company in Woolmarket. Mr. Wright was a man of integrity, a hard worker and an over-achiever with tremendous work ethics while providing for his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Calvin and Ephrim Wright and his sister, Jane Peacock.
Mr. Wright is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Lola Boyett Wright; his brother, Hayward (Linda) Wright of Sims, AL; his sister, Wileen Alves of Houston, TX; his sons, David (Kandy) Taylor of Biloxi, Shannon G. Wright of Gulfport, Kerry Wright of Biloxi, Damon Wright of Gulfport; his daughters, Connie Ratcliff of Biloxi and Selena (Ronnie Edwards) Bethmann of Biloxi; 16 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 19, 2015, at 2pm at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport, where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Cemetery in Gulfport.
