Shankerbhai Gokulbhai Patel

Shankerbhai Gokulbhai Patel, age 79, passed away on January 29, 2023 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He was a resident of Gulfport, but spent most of his time with son Manish in Picayune.

He was born on December 10, 1943 in Bamni, India to Mr. Gokulbhai Patel and Mrs. Maniben Patel.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Savitaben Shankerbhai Patel in 2011, and his parents (listed above).

He is survived by three sons, Vimalkumar Patel (Dipu) of Biloxi, Jayeshkumar “Jay” Patel (Anjanaben) of Gulfport, Manish Patel  (Kaushalya) of Picayune; eight grandchildren, Priyanka V. Patel, Heer V. Patel, Heeral V. Patel, Mahi Patel, Vanessa J. Patel, Hinal J. Patel, Vanshika M. Patel, Jai M. Patel; and three brothers, Rameshchandra G. Patel, Jivanbhai G. Patel, Ramanbhai G. Patel.

He lived a very simple life. He will be missed by his family and friends dearly.

The evening prayer service will be held Friday, February 3, 2023 from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m., and the funeral service will be Saturday, February 4, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rives Rd. Gulfport, MS 39503
