SFC Frances Christie, U.S. Army, Ret.

SFC Frances A. Christie, U.S. Army, Ret, age 85, of Gulfport, passed away on August 8, 2022.

Frances was born on May 27, 1937 in Cynthiana, Indiana. She was the oldest of three children and is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Peter Cuca.

Frances joined the United States Air Force at the age of 20 and served 7 years. After her time in the United States Air Force, Frances attended the University of Utah before joining the United States Army Reserves, eventually going full-time with the Army and serving 19 years. She and her husband’s careers took them around the globe with her last duty station being at the Pentagon. Upon her retirement from the United States Army in 1989, she and Peter settled on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, where they resided for the last 33 years.

Frances was an avid golfer and was a member of the Keesler and Gulf Coast Ladies Golf Associations.

A visitation will be held on Monday, August 15, 2022, from 12 pm - 12;30 at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 274 Beauvoir Rd., Biloxi, MS 39531.  A service will be at 12:30 pm in the funeral home chapel.  Interment will be in Biloxi National Cemetery.
