Sarah Hedgepeth Young, age 84, of Biloxi, passed away on December 28, 2011 in Pass Christian.
She was preceded in death by her former husband, Leonard Young and her son, James R. Young.
She is survived by her children, Jerry Young and Robert Young, both of Biloxi, David Young of Houston, TX, Yvonne McGrath of Biloxi, and Dean Young of Prattville, AL; twelve grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren.
She was a woman of strong faith, made evident by her actions in her home and at work. She was a school teacher at Biloxi High School for over twenty years and was a member of the Eastern Star. After retirement, she volunteered with various hospital organizations.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2011 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Rd, Biloxi. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, January 1, 2012 at 3:00 PM at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, Monticello, MS.
