Sarah Ellen Fennell, 83, of Long Beach, Mississippi, passed away on Wednesday, March 17th, in her home.
Sarah Ellen Awbrey was born in Petrolia, Texas, on January 26th, 1938, to the late Clyde and Sarah Stone Awbrey. She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Jack Fennell; three infants at birth; and a great-granddaughter, Isabella.
Ellen is survived by her children, Carol (John) Garner of San Diego, Ellenetta Marshall of Long Beach, Sam (Laurie) Fennell of Gulfport; her grandchildren, Amanda and Joseph St.Lucas of San Diego, John and Beverly Garner of San Diego, Phillip and Merissa Marshall of Long Beach, Sarah Stallings of Gulfport, Lauren Fennell of Gulfport, Daniel and Savannah Caldwell of Ocean Springs, Alex and Lindzey Fennell of Gulfport, and Kelli Caldwell of Gulfport; and her great-grandchildren, Mino, Jack, MollyKate, Andon, Braydon, Gunner, Liam, JohnPatrick, Thea, and Avery.
A graveside service will be held at Biloxi National Cemetery on Tuesday, March 23rd, at 12:30. Following the service, an open house celebration of life will be held in her home in Long Beach at 315 Lynnwood Circle.
Flowers can be sent to her home or, in lieu of flowers, donations in Ellen's name may be made to the American Lung Cancer Association https://action.lung.org or Humane Society of Harrison County
