Sarah Commander

Sarah “GRANNY” Aldridge Commander, age 97, of Biloxi, passed away on February 3, 2021.

Sarah was a longtime resident of Biloxi. For many years Mrs. Commander was cared for by her nephew, Ken Aldridge, and a dear friend, Mrs. Maria Broome.  She was one of ten children.

Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest B. and Carrie M. Aldridge; her husband, Gerald Commander; and her daughter, Linda Ellen Commander.

Mrs. Commander is survived by her brother, Donald Aldridge of Ormand Beach, FL; and her nephew, Ken Aldridge.

We want to express our sincere gratitude to the staff at Erica’s Place in Biloxi, for the wonderful, loving care they provided during the last two years of her life.

Visitation will be from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 8, 2021, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi.  A graveside service will follow at 2:30 PM at Southern Memorial Park, Biloxi.
