Sara Leigh Sidaway

Sara Leigh Sidaway, age 57 and a resident of Biloxi, died Sunday, May 22, 2011, in Biloxi.
Mrs. Sidaway was a native and lifelong resident of Biloxi. She was a volunteer at Biloxi Regional Medical Center for many years, and was recently honored as Volunteer of the Quarter for 2011. She was a member of Nativity of Blessed Virgin Mary Cathedral.
Mrs. Sidaway was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Josephine Kennedy; two sisters, Julia Ann Kennedy and Theresa ""Tidy"" Kennedy; and her former husband, Wayne D. Pemberton, Sr.
She is survived by her children, Wayne D. Pemberton, Jr., and Kristen Sidaway, both of Biloxi; two sisters, Hilary Nipper, and her husband John, of Elberta, AL, and Penny Spivey of Vancleave; five brothers, William Kennedy, IV, John J. Kennedy, Sr., and Dennis K. Kennedy, all of Biloxi, Robert K. Kennedy of Chicago, IL, and Christopher K. Kennedy, and wife Sherri, of Ocean Springs; granddaughter, Hannah Pemberton of Biloxi, and one expected grandson; and numerous other loving family members and friends.
The family would like to extend a thank you to the nurses and staff at Saad's Hospice and a special thank you to her caregivers, Christopher and Sherrie.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Arrangements were handled by the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 274 Beauvoir Road in Biloxi.
