Sara Geraldine Pitts Mcleod

Sarah Geraldine Pitts McLeod, age 76, of Ponchatoula, LA, formerly a long time resident of Gulfport, passed away on Friday, May 8, 2009 in Covington, LA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Mary Daughdrill, her brothers, Hascall and Monk Daughdrill, a sister, Lorraine Hemba, and her husband, James McLeod
She is survived by 3 children Jerry Michael Pitts and wife Irene of Hammond, LA, Donald Ray Pitts and wife Sylvia of Ponchatoula and Kevin Lee Pitts and wife Brandy of Perkinston, 2 siblings, Elaine Hatten of Houston, TX and James """"Popeye"""" Daughdrill of Carnes, MS, 9 Grandchildren, Evan Pitts, Tiffany Pitts, Melanie Pitts, Marcus Pitts, Julianne Pitts, Kristen Pitts, Lauren Pitts, Lindsey Pitts and Mikeah Pitts, and 3 great- grandchildren, Aliah Pitts, Noah Pitts and Bella Pitts.
She was a former Member of Temple Baptist Church and spent 30 years in newspaper delivery with the Sun Herald in the Orange Grove area. Her hobbies were ceramics and gardening and spending time with her family.
The funeral service will be held at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, on Monday, May 11, 2009 at 7 PM where friends may visit from 5:00 - 7:00 PM
A graveside service will be Tuesday at 10:30 in Breland Cemetery, Carnes, MS.
