Sara Chadwick Bruce, 85 formerly of Pass Christian, died on Friday, March 7, 2008 in Hattiesburg.
Mrs. Bruce was a resident of Pass Christian until Hurricane Katrina and since has been a resident of Hattiesburg. Her family and friends will miss her charismatic personality, her laughter and her words of wisdom. She was a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, a past member of the Coast Newcomers Club and was the former treasurer of the club. She was a member of the Chapter H of P.E.O. (Philanthropy Education Organization) and a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Gulfport.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Eva (Wilkinson) Bruce; her first husband, Amenza Brennan Chadwick; and brother, Sinclair Dickey.
Survivors include her husband, Robert C. Bruce of Hattiesburg; two children, Bren Chadwick of Tampa, Florida, and Lisa Flautt and her husband Robert of Webb, MS; step children, Robert C. Bruce, Jr. and his wife Myra of Gulfport, Richard Bruce and his wife Barbara of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, and Rebecca McIntosh and her husband William H., III, of Hattiesburg; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 11:30a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Monday, March 10, 2008 at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd., Gulfport.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 12:30 in the funeral home chapel, with interment following in
Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
