Sara "Sally" Bates

   Sara "Sally" Bates, known for her 28 years of dedicated service with the United States Postal Service, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2024, in Gulfport, Mississippi, at the age of 68.  She was born on May 26, 1955, in Saratoga, Wyoming. Sara, lovingly called Sally by those closest to her, leaves behind a legacy of hard work, kindness, and a passion for life.
 
   In her free time, Sally enjoyed traveling to both the beach and mountains, finding solace and joy in the beauty of nature. One of her greatest joys in life was spending quality time with her adored grandchildren, creating cherished memories that will live on in their hearts forever.
 
   Sally was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Frank and Joan Shaw. She is survived by her daughters Mary Beth Flowers, Rebecca Lewis (Thomas), and Christine Duggan (Matthew); siblings, Peggy Shrader (Bill) and Mary Harp (Bill) also mourn her passing. Her grandchildren, Hunter Flowers, Marshall Lewis, Nick Lewis, Madison Lewis, Ashley Duggan, and Charles Duggan were the light of her life and will always carry her love with them.
 
   Sara "Sally" Bates will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and unwavering love for her family. Her impact on those around her will continue to be felt for years to come. May she rest in peace knowing that she was deeply loved and will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
