Sandy Thuy Le, age 26, died Monday, March 17, 2014, at University Medical Center Brackenridge in Austin, Texas, surrounded by family and friends with standing room only.
Sandy was born in Pass Christian and attended the Mississippi School of Math and Science later in life. There, she made numerous inseparable friends who remained close to her for years to come. She attended Mississippi State and the University of Southern Mississippi before moving to Austin to study dentistry.
Family and friends remember Sandy as irreplaceably quirky, a stalwart friend, possessing an infectious joie de vivre (and laugh), and a phenomenal dancer.
Survivors include her parents, Hung Le and Cao Nguyen; her brother, Jimmy Le and her sisters, Pauline Le and Linda Gates.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday, March 22, 2014, at 10am at Holy Family Catholic Church in Pass Christian. Burial was held at St. Paul Cemetery in Pass Christian.
Riemann Family Funeral Home, 9113 Kiln Delisle Road in Pass Christian, served the family.
