Sandra (Sandy) Lynne Justice Wilkinson, age 59, passed away in her home on Wednesday, January 4th, 2023.
She is survived by her loving partner of 34 years Darryl Fuqua; her daughter, Keiya Simmons; and her 2 grandchildren, Jasper and Isabella and her dog Sophia.
Sandy was born and raised in Cincinnati Ohio and bravely moved down south as a young woman in search of a chance to have a better life for herself and her daughter.
She was a colorful character, kind, silly, mischievous, and fiery. She was loved and admired by the patrons she served in the decades she worked as a bartender along the Gulf Coast. She loved animals, nature, God, music, dogs, and children. She would go out of her way to be kind and helpful to the neglected and abused. She would check in on mistreated kids or go feed and befriend neglected animals in the neighborhood.
Sandy would always make a point to befriend those who had been shunned or had been outcast and felt alone in the world. Despite her many struggles throughout her own life, she always found something to be grateful for. She knew how to find joy in the simplest of things and how to love with her whole heart. She lived her life in accordance with the most important teachings of Christ, acting with compassion, kindness, generosity, and acceptance for others.
She has passed on to be reunited with her beloved mother, Ruby Irene Justice; her brother, Daniel Justice to whom who she was closest; and all her furry friends and family she has lost along the way.
She will be greatly missed. May she rest peacefully.
There will be a celebration of her life on Saturday, January 28th, 2023 on the beach at the Washington St. pavilion in Bay St. Louis, at 4:00pm.
Riemann Family Funeral Home, Gulfport, is serving the family.
