Sandra Husley

Sandra Darlene Husley, age 68 of Saucier, Mississippi, passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2021.

Sandra Darlene Husley was born December 8th, 1952 in Gulfport, MS to the late Carlos Hudson and Evelyn Earlene Thomas Hudson.

Darlene is survived by her three sons, Vince Husley (Angela), Chris Husley, and Daniel Husley; four grandchildren, Morgan Husley, Abby Kate Husley, Erin Husley, and Maggie Husley; and her siblings, Kay Hudson of Mobile, AL, Nancy King of Gulfport, MS, Carlos Hudson of Saucier, MS, and Gary Hudson of Mobile, AL.

Darlene was an active member of Woolmarket Baptist Church for many years. As all who knew her can attest that Sandra had a servant’s heart. Whether singing with the church choir, serving with Kids Beach Club, working VBS, serving in prayer groups, or working through Women’s ministry, she did so with love and was a true inspiration to those she served and served with.

Her calling to serve people carried over into her choice of career. She served as an LPN in the mental health field for many years.

Darlene was a prayer warrior with a genuine love for people. Always perfectly put together with a kind word and grace for everyone she met. Darlene was a sweet Southern woman who overflowed with kindness and just a touch of sass. Within minutes of meeting her, you would quickly learn how immensely proud she was of her three sons and her granddaughters. Darlene found joy in the simple pleasures of life, the flowers blooming in spring, the first cool breeze of fall, bluebirds building their nests, her little dog Sampson, and most of all the Christmas holiday.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, September 26, 2021, at Woolmarket Baptist Church at 3:00 PM with visitation from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM. Interment will follow at Success Cemetery in Success, MS.
