Sandra Kay Bergeron

    Mrs. Sandra Kay Bergeron, a cherished member of the Gulfport community, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 15, 2024, at the age of 76. Born on August 26, 1947, Sandra was the beloved daughter of Leslie Elbert Shippee and Mildred V. Bond Shippee, both of whom have gone before her.
 
    Sandra will always be remembered by her loving husband of fifty years, James Amon Bergeron, who stood by her side through thick and thin. She also leaves behind her siblings, Barbara Starkey (Jim) and Leslie E. Shippee, Jr. (Cindy), who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts. Additionally, Sandra is survived by her nieces and nephew: James Starkey, Jr., Cindy Starkey, Amber Nix (Daniel), Angie Smith (Jason), Amy Evans (Steve), all of whom she adored dearly. A special mention goes out to her dear friend and sister-in-law, Berylene Shippee, who shared a unique bond with Sandra over the years.
 
    Sandra's presence in Gulfport was a constant throughout her life as a proud member of Grace Memorial Baptist Church. Her warm smile and kind heart touched the lives of many in the community. To the healthcare professionals who tirelessly cared for Sandra during her illness over the years, the family extends their heartfelt gratitude.
 
    Friends are invited to join the family for visitation and services on Monday, April 22, 2024, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, MS 39503.  Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until 12 Noon.   The funeral service will begin at 12 Noon in the funeral home chapel.   Following services, Sandra will be laid to rest at Biloxi National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.

    Sandra's departure has left a void in the hearts of those who knew her, but her spirit will continue to inspire and guide all who were fortunate enough to have shared in her life's journey.  May she rest in peace.
