Samuel Tillis

SSG Samuel Richard Tillis, Ret., US Army, 78, passed away Monday, February 9, 2015 in Biloxi, MS. He served 19 years in the United States Army. During his service to his country he received the Purple Heart and several other commendations medals.
He is preceded in death by his parents Sammy J. Tillis and Ophelia Tillis; wife, Edith Tillis, 4 sisters and 3 brothers.
He survived by his daughter, Debra Busby (Nathaniel) of Fairbanks, AK; niece, Gloria Tillis Southern of Palatka, FL; one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, February 12, 2015 at Biloxi National Cemetery in Biloxi, MS. RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport is serving the family.
