Samuel C. Tenly, age 89 and a resident of Gulfport, died on Friday, November 2, 2007 in Gulfport.
Mr. Tenly was a longtime resident of the MS Gulf Coast and was a member of the Baptist faith. He also served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.
Mr. Tenly was preceded in death by his parents, William Henry & Frances Beville Tenly; his son, Wayne Tenly; three brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Edith Tenly of Bay St. Louis; his son, Rodney Tenly of Valdosta, GA; his daughters, Connie (Robert) Adair of Slidell, LA, Carol (Brian) Spychalski of Gulfport and Carla (Raymond) Schmitt of Bay St. Louis; his sister, Isabell Wenzel of Gainesville, FL; nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at 12 Noon at THE RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Road in Biloxi, where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
